Our logo – Why to choose a hyena

Africa is full of fantastic animals, especially the big five:
lion, elephant, cape buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros.

But at second glance you will find other wonderful and interesting animals. The hyena is Africa's most common large carnivore. Hyenas have always had the reputation to be foul-smelling scavengers and underhand thieves. However, hyenas are also characterized as highly talented team workers and excellent hunters, maybe even the best hunters of all. As hyenas are also scavengers, they play an important role as a kind of sanitary police not only for the preservation of the ecosystems but in the long run also for human beings. Hyenas are very social, intelligent and communicative animals. Through specific calls, postures and signals they communicate with each other. They quickly make their various intentions known to other members of the clan, or to outsiders.
